Well what a start to 2014, I hope the beginning of your new year has been as hectic and exciting as ours.
A very exciting announcement I have to make is that I have joined The Business Network team and will be taking an active role in promoting and developing The Business Network South Humberside group.
The group compliments my social media marketing activities perfectly and both will work exceptionally well together. Social media is not an overnight fix and is about building long term relationships and building trust; The Business Network works exactly the same. With directors and decision makers attending monthly lunchtime meetings long term relationships are built.
The format of the meetings is unique and has been working for the past 20 years all over the country. There is a complimentary seminar for those attending the monthly meeting and these seminars are presented by a member of the group. They are not a sales pitch but an insight into the industry they work in or a way of educating the members on a subject of their expertise. This month’s seminar was by Jill Cooper from Kingsway Consulting, it explained all elements of funding available to businesses at the moment – vital information for those developing their employees or business.
Then there’s open networking followed by a two course sit down meal plus coffee, there’s a table plan developed to ensure you’re meeting new businesses each month, but also building on the relationships you’ve started to form. With key decision makers and directors in the room relationships and discussions are taking place with the people who can develop their business.
I’ve been a member of the group for over a year and the benefits I’ve found have been exceptional, when the opportunity to join the team arose I couldn’t pass it up. If you’d like to attend please let me know as guests are always welcome.
